API Benchmark
Description
A lightweight HTTP performance testing tool for measuring endpoint throughput, latency percentiles, status-code distributions, and request failures under configurable concurrency and request pacing. It uses a bounded goroutine worker pool with connection reuse, per-request timeouts, graceful cancellation, streaming metric aggregation, and human-readable or JSON reporting.
Highlights
- Engineered an HTTP benchmarking tool in Go for measuring API throughput and latency under configurable concurrency.
- Designed a bounded goroutine worker pool with request-rate pacing, connection reuse, per-request timeouts, and graceful cancellation.
- Implemented P50/P90/P95/P99 latency calculations with status and error breakdowns, terminal output, and JSON reporting.
- Benchmarked production backends across high-traffic endpoints, measuring throughput and P50/P95/P99 latency under concurrent workloads.
